"Teachers Must Be Creative"

During my field study I got to experience what learning looks like inside of the classroom setting and I got new ideas I can incorporate into my future classroom.  I learned that learning inside of the classroom setting can be fun, engaging, and educational. I learned that incorporating the arts can truly enhance lessons/activities and get the students engaged in a way I haven't seen before. I definitely want to incorporate the arts into my future classroom especially now that I have seen the benefits it has on student learning. I think some teachers forget that students can still learn while having a fun time doing it. I have definitely learned that being creative can be beneficial and they are not just some crafts students do to fill time.

Overall, I loved my field study experience at Philippine Christian University (JHS & SHS) and Edilberto S. Legaspi Integrated National High School. I have a bunch of knowledge to bring to my future classroom and internships. I am really glad I had the opportunity to have this experience and I will never forget it.

"There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns."

-Edward de Bono

  8. This is the perpective that a Filpino educator should have, I believe that learning exists in a fun environment. We have to let them explore and discover what a real world looks like and
how it works, prepare students to a larger opportunity where they can be confident of themseleves. Traditional approach may no longer be effective. This generation proves that innovation does not stop in business, but it should be applicable to many field even inside the rooms of the school.
